I have listened to Wes since I was 17 years old. He is absolutely my favorite Jazz Guitarist. Many people have tried to sound like him but no one has the feel and swing that Wes had. If I played a track of Wes's today for someone, they would never believe that we lost Wes in 1968.

I saw Wes at Bakers Keyboard Lounge in Detroit MI and sat just a few feet from him. I was able to talk to him and tell him what a difference he was making to jazz guitar music. I also was like a kid when I touched his guitar. I still listen to his music today and enjoy it as much

I need to pay a tribute to this jazz genius, not sufficiently known. Man, for long, the notes of your L-5 guitar will fill my mind with your incredible sense to transfigure all the jazz standards I love.

I used to sit in The Lighthouse Jazz Cafe in Hermosa Beach, CA and listen to Wes. I have a FaceBook Show where I feature music and musicians called "Las Vegas Downtown Diva". Wes is featured on it for everybody to experience. Thank you Wes for giving us your music.

Wes Montgomery made jazz music easy to listen to, but with respect to complex harmonies. On piano I would compare him to Oscar Peterson.
